On Christmas Day, Christmas Day, Raglan was dead so lifeless and empty, we have this place so far never experienced. Everything was closed. The parking spaces available, hardly a man on the street - the city was like a bizarre ghost town. But life is now on 2 , Christmas Day, Boxing Day which, fortunately, quickly returned. All shops have reopened, and in the local supermarket, the 4 Square, there is hustle and bustle, as he would have been closed for a week. In the restaurants and sidewalk cafes vacationers and tourists sit side by side. Everyday life has returned and Christmas draws to its end. The only Christmas then what will remain is the evergreen, New Zealand Christmas tree, the Pohutukawa. The place everywhere in the coastal regions of the North Island and is one with its rich vibrant red flowers to remember into the new year at Christmas time.
